Meet Dr. Mark Ballentyne

Dr. Mark Ballentyne is a highly skilled physician who has been Director of Medical Aesthetics at the Skin Wellness Center since 2003.   He has established a strong reputation for his talent in performing the lip augmentation procedure, facial rejuvenation with BOTOX® Cosmetic injections and dermal fillers, photo-rejuvenation (Intense Pulsed Light or IPL), sclerotherapy, medical level skin care treatments, Fraxel laser treatments and chemical peels. 

Dr. Ballentyne has helped many women and men achieve a more youthful appearance. His patients also benefit from Dr. Ballentyne’s team approach to treatment, as he often collaborates with Dr. Lawrence N. Gray in caring for patients.

In order to offer his patients the latest and safest treatments, Dr. Ballentyne attends various academic conferences, where he meets with other doctors to explore and discuss advances and innovations in aesthetic medicine. He is a national trainer for Allergan™, maker of some of the world's most popular dermal fillers, due to his technical skill, extensive experience, and eye for superior results. He is also frequently asked to demonstrate cosmetic injection methods to other doctors.

A trait that sets Dr. Ballentyne apart from many other physicians is his ability to listen carefully to his patients, a skill he honed during his experience as a family practitioner. The attention he pays to his patients' goals and needs allows him to provide them with the highest possible quality of care.  

Education, Certification, Career History

After serving as Family Practice Chief Resident in the final year of his residency at the University of Wisconsin, Dr. Ballentyne practiced a broad range of medicine with a focus on internal medicine for 15 years. He was Practice Medical Director at Martin’s Point Healthcare for 10 years; prior to that, he worked in a medical group in Kennebunk, Maine. Dr. Ballentyne is board-certified by the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine  and also separately by the American Academy of Family Practice Physicians. Dr. Ballentyne is licensed to practice in New Hampshire.
