Rebeca

The mother and baby girl shown in these pictures heard about the Rotaplast Mission on the radio in their rural town, which was a 6 hour bus trip away.  The bus fare probably cost the mother 2 to 3 weeks of food money. The little girl, Rebeca, had an "incomplete" cleft palate, meaning that the division of her tissue above the lip did not go all the way into her nose. She still would have suffered ridicule or shunning by the time she was school age, had this not been repaired.....or if her mother had not heard the radio advertisement about Rotatplast being in the area for 2 weeks. So, happily,  her lip was repaired and her mother was very happy and relieved.
